The Inn at Mountain View Farm has an impressive and interesting history. Built in 1883 as a gentleman's working farm by Elmer A. Darling, the Mountain View Farm once supplied meat and dairy products to Mr. Darling's prestigious Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York City. Today, it is family-owned and operated by John and Marilyn Pastore, who bought the inn in 1989 and have restored it with care to its current state as a popular destination for weddings, mountain biking, and peaceful getaways in this beautiful region of Vermont.
"...impressively situated on a high ridge, with huge views... The rooms are wonderful... incredibly comfortable, entirely unpretentious, and blessedly absent of television or telephone." - American Way
Only 4 miles from Interstate 91, the inn is conveniently located only 3 hours from Boston, 2 hours from Montreal, and 6 hours from New York City. Our 14 gracious guest rooms and luxury suites offer a compelling reason to 'get away from it all.'
